Can someone please tell me why the song "Don't Stop Believing" is still so trendy? And what event brought it out of it's dusty album sleeve?
Was is the finale of The Sopranos (aired in 2007)?
Or was it due to that scene in Laguna Beach where Stephen sings the song (which aired in 2005)? I totally remember this episode.
Or was it because Family Guy used the song in the same week at Laguna Beach?
Either way, this 30 year old song needs to go away.
Why not bring back Supertramp's Goodbye Stranger? This can be turned into a great oot oot song (oot oot = dance beats ... say it, it's fun .. "oot oot"
or Dr. Hook's Sylvia's Mother? Ok, this isn't a dance song, but damn it's awesome.
PLEASE stop believing and find another song to obsesses with!
Hi, I’m Alison and I write New Life as New Wife.
I started "New Life as New Wife" in 2008 as a spin off to my wedding blog A Day in the life of a Rockstar Bride.
Like life, my blog has changed. My blog has now transitioned into the day-to-day challenges including how to save money, adjusting to life as a new home owner, and just recently, how to adjust to life after re-quitting my corporate job.
Prior to becoming a "grown-up", I spent the last 6 to 9 years as an IT professional, dance instructor and an awesome Rockstar wife.
Now, I walk dogs, teach yoga, teach dance and rockout as a the wife of a rockstar.

My dear, I'm quite certain it was Glee's version that brought Don't Stop Believing back. They don't play the Glee version (that I've heard) on the radio, but since that episode aired, I've heard the original at least twice a week.
It may have given it a smidge of ompf back, but as someone who still goes to bars the odd night (with hubby's band), that friggin song has never stopped being requested to jer's band, or played by the dj. Glee just brought it to the even more younger generation.
I believe it was the Soprano's. After the final episode Sirius Hits 1 (normally strictly top 40) started playing it.
